Nu Image is holding a book drive for the entire month of April to benefit Book Harvest, a local nonprofit organization that provides books to children in need throughout the Triangle area. We have asked local dental offices to participate by collecting new or gently used children’s books at their office. We then will stop by and pick up the collection of books and hand deliver them to Book Harvest in Durham, NC. We have set a goal to collect 1,000 books in the month of April!
We were able to tie in the book drive with the birthday of Dr. Seuss and we had so much fun putting our delivery baskets together! So many of the offices that we stopped by were thrilled to participate in this great cause and even encouraged their patients to get in on the action. We can’t wait to share the total number of books collected as well as fun office photos!
UPDATE:
Upon completion of our book drive, we were able to unloaded 5,606 books at Book Harvest – blowing our goal out of the water! We can’t wait for these to get in the hands of so many children.
