Dr. Rivero is a Board Certified Periodontist and was born in Venezuela and moved to the US (Miami, Florida) at the age of 13. She is Board Certified and received her DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) and Master of Science and Certificate in Periodontics from Nova Southeastern University. Her undergrad Bachelor of Science degree was obtained at Florida International University. Dr. Rivero concentrated her studies in Biology and Chemistry while there. Additionally, Dr. Rivero has been published as a co-author in the Infection and Immunity Journal (2013) for the research in the Regulation of Rab5 Function during Pagocytosis of Live Pseudomonas auruginosa in Macrophages. She has also done extensive research on the Clinical Comparison of the Treatment of Gingival Recession Defects with and without Advanced Platelet-Rich Fibrin and Investigation of the Healing Role of Angiogenic Proteins.
Dentistry, traveling, fitness, giving back, and her family are Dr. Rivero’s passions. She has been able to combine her loves by taking mission trips to Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and cities in Florida to provide dental care to those who can’t afford it. She also combines fitness with charities by running for Oral Cancer Research. She’s completed full and half marathons to find a cure for paralysis and has been involved with events such as “Give Kids a Smile” and “A Day For Children.”

Dr. Paul H. Lee is excited to return to North Carolina and provide compassionate, high-quality care to the Triangle community. Originally from South Korea, Dr. Lee moved to Greensboro, NC at the age of 10. His connection to the Triangle area deepened while attending high school at the NC School of Science and Mathematics in Durham, followed by UNC Chapel Hill, where he double majored in biology and economics with a minor in chemistry.
Dr. Lee’s passion for dentistry and medicine took root during his volunteer dental mission trips to Honduras. He later earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Columbia University, where he discovered his passion in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery while assisting in craniofacial and corrective jaw surgeries.
He pursued further professional training at New York University, earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and completing his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency. Over the course of his six-year residency, Dr. Lee had the privilege of treating diverse patient populations at institutions including NYU Langone Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital, Manhattan Veteran Affairs Hospital, and the NYU College of Dentistry. His dedication and expertise led to his final year as the executive chief resident at NYU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Lee is actively involved in research, with particular interest in regenerative medicine, guided/custom surgery, and virtual surgical planning. He has also lectured at national conferences and is committed to utilizing the latest proven technologies to improve patient outcomes. He is bilingual and proficient in Korean.
