Random Acts of Kindness Week or “RAK Week” is quickly approaching! Celebrated this year February 11-17, 2018, #RAKWeek is an annual opportunity to unite through kindness. Led by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation and formally recognized in 2000, this seven-day celebration demonstrates how kindness starts with one—one act, one smile, one coffee for a stranger, one favor for a friend. It’s an opportunity for participants to leave the world better than they found it and inspire others to do the same.
Here at Nu Image, we have felt inspired to step out in kindness and impact our local communities. We have chosen a specific act of kindness for each day of #RAKWeek in every community where we have a Nu Image office.
#nuimagerakweek Schedule:
Monday, February 12th – Collect gift cards and gently used clothing for a Ugandan refugee family who were patients at the North Raleigh office
Tuesday, February 13th – Collect and deliver needed food items for the Holly Springs Food Cupboard
Wednesday, February 14th – Take Valentine’s Day cards and flowers to an assisted living center in Cary
Thursday, February 15th – Donate blood at the American Red Cross to benefit the Wake Forest community
Friday, February 16th – Donate 4,875 healthy meals to children through the NC Food Bank’s Weekend Power Pack initiative
