Our Community

At Nu Image, we believe it’s very important that we give our time, skills and resources to better our community. We are always looking for new opportunities to help others and get involved in the Triangle area. Below are some of the organizations we’ve partnered with to support our local community.

Giving Back

#RAKweek is an initiative set forth by the Random Acts of Kindness organization. The goal is to bring awareness on making an impact in your community one act of kindness at a time; no matter how big or small the act. We were so excited to participate in the 2018 #RAKweek and our entire team was able to come together to collect and gift cards for Ugandan refugee families, give blood at the local Red Cross and donate food items to a local food cupboard. Dentistry from the Heart

Dentistry from the Heart is a worldwide, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free dental care to those in need. In 2016, Nu Image partnered with Triangle Dentistry to participate in their DFTH event. In 2017, Nu Image partnered with both Triangle Dentistry and Village Dental – Olde Raleigh for their DFTH events.

Touched by Hope

Touched by Hope is a FREE clinic which strives to meet the medical, physical and spiritual needs of the guests—all on a budget of zero dollars and zero cents. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of planning and a lot of prayer to create an organized event. The clinic is a one day event. Volunteers are gathered from Hope Lutheran and the community to provide services for the guests. FREE Services range from medical, dental and optical care to haircuts, and may other areas. Again, all services are provided free of charge.

Inaugural Friesen 5K Fun Run

The Inaugural Friesen 5K Fun Run in 2006 was held to celebrate Carolina Hurricanes Head Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach Peter Friesen’s day with the Stanley Cup. In the 7 years, this event has been held, over 8500 Caniacs have participated and over $200,000 has been raised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Eastern North Carolina. Come out and run with Peter Friesen as well as several Hurricanes players, coaches and staff in this fun filled event around the RBC Center and surrounding parking lots.

Richland Creek Community Church

Richland Creek Community Church hosts a free community health clinic during certain dates. We offering medical, dental, and vision care clinics to help meet as many physical needs as possible of people, primarily the uninsured, within and outside our church to demonstrate the love and grace of God. A pediatrician, physician’s assistant, nurses, dental practitioners, dental hygienists and assistants, and vision care professionals will offer education, services, and some treatments to meet needs or help guide qualifying persons in addressing personal health issues.

Medical services will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis to all ages in the community. Choose from the following options: General Medical, Dental Exam, Eye Exam, “FREE” Eye Glasses. This clinic is put on by Living Word Community Church.

Raleigh Rescue Mission

Raleigh Rescue Mission transforms lives of homeless men, women and children by ministering to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Nu Image participated in #Socktober sock drive and donated socks to the Raleigh Rescue Mission. Check out our Facebook Page to see some of the pictures throughout the month!

Freedom Day USA

What is Freedom Day USA? Businesses from across the USA have partnered to bring our Active Military and their Immediate Family, along with our VETERANS the Nation’s Biggest Thank You Appreciation Event! It’s our way of saying “Thank You” for providing and protecting our Freedoms.

Our goal is very, very simple, and that is to reach out and to meet the basic, essential, and necessary needs of those who find themselves within desperate circumstances. On select dates, we help distribute clothing and goods to 300 to 400 individuals in need.

Pink Shamrock 5k

The race will benefits women in the Triangle battling breast cancer. It is a family event, so everyone is welcome to come! Help us battle breast cancer. “Get your pink on” race day from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. Tutus are always welcome!
